1 When you hear songs about peace during the Christmas season, what do you imaging that looking like? In light of this week’s message, what now surprises you most about that?
2 How have you experienced God’s peace in your life? Where has he been your refuge?
3 Peacemakers are desperately needed in our world. Peace-making is something we actively pursue. What does pursuing peace with others looks like?
4 Biblical peace means that while we don’t have to love everything as it is, it does mean we can cope with those things we most dread. How can Psalm 46:1-3 and 10-11 help us better learn to experience peace even in the hard times?
5 What would help you in your effort to live at peace with everyone in your family? Work? School? Church? Community? What area of your life do you need more peace?
6 Jesus came as the Prince of Peace so we can all have peace with God. As followers of Jesus, we’ve been called to offer this same peace to others. Who in your life would you love to see experience peace with God during this Christmas season?
7 In addition to prayer, what could you do that might help you nudge the person you named above toward the Prince of Peace? What could you do to nudge yourself towards peace with others?
