Year 1 – 6 – in the Rimu room

In ID, we believe the Bible should never be boring, games are a must, that we all need a space to talk and to be heard, and good leaders always care. By the time our kids head off to intermediate school they will have learned 150 bible stories, 30 Life Applications and 3 Core Truths. We want to make sure these three core truths stick:

  1. I need to make the wise choice. (Wisdom)
  2. I can trust God no matter what. (Faith)
  3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated. (Friendship)

The focus in ID is our small group environment. We want kids to see how God’s Word fits in to their lives, to learn how to talk to him, and to build friendships that will last.

Our goal is to provide a variety of opportunities for children to learn, connect and grow. We want them to learn about God and what the bible teaches, connect with their peers, and grow in their ability to apply God’s truth in their daily lives and share His love with others. Your child will learn, connect, and grow through bible lessons, group activities, songs, small group discussion and prayer.

Throughout the curriculum, parents will receive guides to help seal in God’s truths that their children have been learning about on Sunday morning. Sometimes these are sent home with the children, but they are also available on our Hamilton Central Baptist families Facebook page. We strive to make it as easy as possible for parents to review the lesson at home during the week.

Each month we will introduce a new scripture passage for Bible Memory. “I have stored up your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” Psalm 119:11Stay connected to what the kids are learning! Download the “Parent Cue” app on your iPhone, android, tablet or iPad! It includes all the stories, videos, and music that we use on Sundays so you can keep the conversation going!

We also have other resources you may find useful on our parent resources page.
