Our desire for the Children’s Ministry is to not only spiritually guide children, but to give parents tools to spiritually influence their own children. The average church only has 40 hours in a given year to influence a life. The average parent has 3000 hours per year to influence a life. Central Baptist wants to partner with parents in their journey of raising their Child to know who God is and that they can have a relationship with him.
Each month children learn a memory verse that highlights God’s teachings. Every Sunday, we explore a new Bible story that furthers understanding and appreciation of God’s big story
We use a curriculum from the Rethink group called Orange.
Central Baptist wants to use Orange to partner with parents and families to make the greatest impact on the hearts of the next generation in our church.
God designed the church (yellow) to shine the light of Jesus. Family (red) is God’s design to nurture the hearts of children. The two colours combined, church (yellow) and family (red) make orange. Two influences with one end in mind. Leading children to walk with the God who loves them and has great plans for their lives. Orange is engaging churches and families to influence the faith and character of the nextgeneration.
A range of age appropriate programmes happen at our 10:30 service at Hamilton Central
In addition, the Kowhai Room (opposite the Church Office or accessed from the rear of auditorium) is available to parents and babies requiring feeding or changing (Hamilton Central) whilst allowing audio and visual access to the service.
Leaders and helpers have a love for children and are carefully selected (vetted) to ensure a safe environment.
