Hamilton Central Baptist Church (HCBC) is seeking a full-time Mission Leader/ Pastor to partner with us as we discover and live out the next chapter of God’s will for our church and its people.
Our Vision
We have committed to being a Church that depends on the Holy Spirit, submits to one another, demonstrates humility, are passionate servants of the gospel and speaks the truth in love.
Even though HCBC has a long history, our mission remains unchanged – to go and make disciples. In doing so, working together with our Mission Leader/ Pastor, we aspire to discern and move into the future that God has for us, using the giftings that God has given our Church to look outwards and help spread His kingdom.
Who We Are
HCBC is a metropolitan church with a wide demographic. Our core values include being an authentic community, accepting biblical authority, local and global mission, being active in service and having a deep relationship with God.
HCBC has an average Sunday attendance of 150+ and is located in the centre of Hamilton (New Zealand’s fastest growing city).

Theologically trained and practically experienced, you will be someone who;
Has a deep personal relationship with God
Has a strong biblical teaching and preaching ability
Is approachable and compassionate
Has the ability to build strong relationships across the congregation and foster unity
Is visionary and forward thinking, yet leads with humility and collaboration
Can build community and empower people to be disciples of Jesus
Is missional, understanding the importance of youth, family and local mission.
